This project was developed to consolidate the treatment facilities of Akkök Holding’s factories within YALKIM OIZ under a unified approach, reflecting our commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible manufacturing. The site serves major companies including Aksa Acrylic Chemistry Industry Inc., one of the world’s largest acrylic fiber producers; Akkim Chemistry Industry and Trade Inc., one of Turkey’s leading chemical manufacturers; and DowAksa Advanced Composite Materials Industry Ltd., Turkey’s first carbon fiber producer. The facility represents an investment of approximately USD 18 million with a capacity of 15,000 m³/day.

Wastewater from the factories undergoes physical and chemical treatment before being directed to aeration basins with a volume of 28,800 m³. Following biological treatment, the effluent is discharged to the sea. Chemical and biological sludges generated at the plant are dewatered and dried in the sludge drying facility.
